Very similar to the September Tactical at Enfield - static camps with different scenarios during the day and night.
Sound off if you are coming (no need to sound off if you are not coming).
If you are with a different unit but want to fall in with C/505th for the weekend also sound off here. That helps with organizing the field element.
Basic impression is Battle of the Bulge (43's are our warmest uniform) but wear what you have. May be cold so plan on bringing warm stuff to wear under your uniform.
Canvas - no unit canvas will be on site. If you have canvas bring it - if you have a large enough tent a Mr Heater would be nice if you have one. If you have a pup tent make sure you have a warm sleeping bag.
Kitchen
1. As of now the unit kitchen is not attending. The plan is to set my fly up in the low mode (similar to the last Enfield) and close off the ends and sides with shelter halves. We'll cook in there and run a Mr Heater. Should stay warm in there. Can be used as a warming area for a few at a time.
2. Food - we will be running a very reduced menu. Eat before you get there Friday (Subway at the SR 33 exit). Coffee will be pretty much 24/7. Friday night we'll keep hot soup and hot water for cocoa until cease fire and everybody gets a chance to warm up. Saturday - Breakfast - Grits and/or Oatmeal, Cocoa and Coffee, Lunch on your own but coffee and hot water will be available. Supper - my special Chili with all the fixings, Night - repeat of soup and hot water. Sunday breakfast - repeat of Saturday.
3. Utensils - Spoon and canteen cup. To cut down on washing stuff we will provide disposable bowls.
4. Cost? Near as we can figure $12 per man. Standard procedure money is due in to the CO by the weekend prior to the event. If you are in a different unit the same applies to you. If you are joining our mess we need to know and you need to get your money in.
