When we get the site map we'll post it so you'll know our approximate location. If you get there after 1830 hrs it's going to be dark. No moon.

Just a few days out and the unit is scrambling for canvas. Darrell is not coming so that means the two tents owned by Ralph and Darrell are in question and their flies are not coming - but we are working the issue.
Below list is confirmed canvas.
As of right now for tents and occupants we have...
Wall tents (CO & Wayne) (1st Sgt & Chief) (Louis & Mongo) (Aaron & David P) (Eric & Bradd) (Adam & Matt) (Steve E & Ronnie)
Pup Tents (Dan) (Scott)
Unknown Status - Steve S., Bruce, Ricky & Robert
The C&S will have two stand by pups - just in case.
Flies - Cook (Louis), CP (Chief), Engineer (Matt) and two of mine for General Display's.

Do we have any option to just sleep in our vehicles? If they are close enough by?

Do we have any option to just sleep in our vehicles? If they are close enough by? Still working the tent issue. If we get at least one your crew gets it. Get two and Dan & Scott gets one.
Car is always an option and I assume parking will be in the same lot it's always been across the road. Issue with the car is getting in the gate early. That could be hit or miss.

Troopers, bring warm clothes for late night and early morning. Predicted 35 but lately Weather services have consistently missed their predictions.

I am a go, do to still being active. I have duty on the 7th unless I pay someone willing to do my Sunday duty.
About the space issue. If folks would set up side by side and little tighter than all the years before. We be fine..
Someone actually needs to be on ground and making that happen.
Just my thoughts

You were with that other unit last time. You couldn't get our tents any closer. You had to got through the tents - or walk very, very slowly through all the guy ropes.
We'll be there early to make sure things are close - after we measure off how much space the event gave us.

Flies & etc.
Guys we will not know our actual space until we get on site. I got a 100' tape measure to see what we got. Site map is still not posted.
A few of us will be on site around 0800 hrs Friday. We'll measure the ground and then begin to set up up the flies. Flies will be set up in the order they arrive. Tents will be behind the flies and set up in the order they arrive. You'll sleep in your assigned tent but you might not be behind "your fly". Major displays are Kitchen, CP, D Day/Pathfinders, Engineer and Glider/FA. We should have one additional fly for over flow - and at night be the lounge and officers mess.
Remember - if you sleep in a tent you are expected to pack it up Sunday afternoon. Fail to do that and you might find yourself with no tent space next time. If everybody who slept in a tent doesn't know how to pack it there are plenty who do - just ask.
The event is not over until everything is packed up. Work fast and we may be out by 1830.
