I'll be there. Wont be on site till late afternoon/early evening due to work. Don't have a WWII era cot/sleeping bag/tent so I'll work around it. We'll find something for you - plan on ground sleeping. You'll need a ground sheet, sleeping pad and some type of sleeping bag or blankets. You'll probably be in a pup tent that you can keep closed during the day so authenticity is not a problem.

Robert - I'll bring a cot for you to use.
I'll be on a cot and will find a fly or somewhere to squirrel in. I'll be in Friday evening as well.

Is there not space for the squad tent? Seems there are enough attending to
justify using it. I will need a place to sleep (not on the ground). I will be attending the hangar dance.

Space is an issue.
I had assumed that you would get with Adam and stay in his tent.
If Adam doesn't come I had assumed you would have asked him if you could borrow his tent for the weekend.
If he says he's not coming I could run over to his house and pick it up for you.
Let me know.

IF the squad tent is on site - and IF we have room to set it up it will hold nine troops. As of right now we only have 8 hunting canvas - which would be 4 per side.
That would mean no pup tents - so bring or borrow a cot.
See sketch below as to how it will be set up.
Period cots to the front and rear center. Non period cots to the rear on the sides.
Boxes will be placed as noted. All extra gear under your cots. It's a barracks - not your bedroom. It will look like a barracks during the day as it's a display.
If it's up those that stay in it are expected to stay and help pack it up.
Pack your gear during the day and cover it with a blanket or shelter half. When it's time to break down all you need to do is pull it out, drop the tent and pack it away.

Updated Canvas 10/30/2021 As of right now for tents and occupants we have... Wall tents (CO & Wayne) (1st Sgt & Chief) (Louis & Mongo) (Aaron & David P) (Darrell & ?) (Eric & Bradd) (Adam & Matt) (Steve E & Ronnie) (Bruce, Ricky (?) & Robert) Pup Tents (Dan) (Scott) Unknown Status - Steve S.
Looks like only Dan and/or Scott might have to rough it in pups. The C&S will have two stand by pups - just in case.

If you show up we'll have a pup tent for you. Be prepared to sleep on the ground. Some type of waterproof ground tarp/sheet, sleeping pad and sleeping bag/blankets enough to keep you warm down to 38 degrees.

Troopers!
If you are planning to attend the Dinner\Hanger Dance for $10.00 let us know. We assume you will not be eating steak with us Saturday night. This will effect quantity of side items Mess will provide. I suggest you make a reservation as soon as you get on site. I can give Sheryl a rough count. So far I have Matt, Bruce, Scott, Adam and Emily maybe. Others?
Just FYI, We have 9 Wall Tents. Since many of you arrive after work Friday the setting up of the Squad Tent in the dark would endanger the canvas. Also, if damp when taken down drying it would be a major job. Currently, we only have 20 people that have said they will attend.
Monday is the deadline for Mess Fees. Only have 10 paid fees. Leftovers for those that have not paid for meals will be charged $5.00 for each leftover served.
There will be food vendors on site. Average meal with drink $7.

Tent list updated - see list above - waiting on one available space.
Guys, none of the wall tents are unit property. They are all owned by individuals.
First, if the individual is not coming but the tent is in the equipment trailer, we have to ask if it's OK to set it up. Some folks are more picky about others using their canvas than others. In this case we assign troops to the tent.
Second, if the person will be on site, we ask if it's OK to put someone in with them. Then we assign a troop to it.
This all takes time as some are slower to respond than others.

In reference to billeting, if you are sleeping in a tent belonging to someone else, have the courtesy help set it up and break it down. I understand some people won't arrive until late Friday after set up. Sunday, have the courtesy to stay long enough to help break down and load up.

Also, there is no battle. Form I filled out was wrong about a battle.
Going to post final updated list with Sheryl Monday, November 1st!
Mess money coming in slowly. Deadline is also Monday. 12 have paid at this time. Get on it men.
