That works... I wasn't sure if I'd have a problem telling mine from anyone else's Once you make your first event with us you'll see how things work.
Living History or Tactical - things work pretty much the same every time. You'll see.
The thing that does change is pretty much just the impression which is called early enough that the troops have plenty of time to prepare.
Once you see the different uniforms and learn how they can be mixed and matched it becomes easy and thing you can start looking for the little things to fine tune your impression.
Since we do an Airborne impression we have two additional uniforms over the regular troops - and pockets on our 43 pants - but still easy to mix and match depending on the impression.
You are all fired up right now and chomping on the bit but you need to relax a bit and see what the others have so you can prioritize what you need.

I am beyond fired up. It's been 2 years since I was on the front lines... just miss the piss out of it. Also... are there any extra shovels? Gotta dig a trench of a foxhole some how and I don't think my trench knife will do a very good job lol

At this event you can use either the T handle or the folding E Tool.

I have an extra one Steve. Get it when you pick up your ammo order.

Just a few of videos for review
Watch them to get an idea of what we're expected to do. Number three is most about us - due to casualties we are not a well oiled machine. In other words we don't practice enough.

For those who've never been there take a close look at this overhead. It matches with the camp layout picture in the post above. The camp is on the left edge of this picture.
Study it and get a good idea on how the trails run. The major trails that show white are white sand and easy to see at night. The trails covered by trees are a bit harder at night. Covered with leaf litter and pine straw. It's easy to wander off on to what you think is the trail but it's a dead end.

What do I do if I get lost from the unit? First off - you're wrong - don't get cut off or wander away from the unit.
Second - you're expected to be thinking and paying attention while you're operating with the unit. Look for the enemy with one eye while keeping the other on your buddy and the rest of the unit you can see.
Third - if a dog fight starts and you think you are way out there then drift to the sounds of the US weapons coming from the area you last knew where we were at.
Fourth - You didn't look at the map I posted close enough. That main trail on the south runs pretty much east /west. That big "L" shaped field is very distinctive even at night. The trails and terrain features surrounding the field are very obvious and easy to see at night. When we depart the camp or our occupied position we are leaving a known point. As we depart that position track in your head where we're going. Pretty much walk west and you'll hit the paved road - if you don't hit the camp first.
If the war has flat out disappeared from you and you're all by yourself - get orientated and get back to our Main CP as fast as you can get there and report in to the CO or Chief. We'll need to know your status at Endex.
