Road to Rome
Immersion Tactical, field event.

We are three months out for this event and it's coming up right after All American Week at Ft Bragg.
Most everybody has been to Enfield at least once and understands the basic flow of these events.
For this event we will operate as a platoon with attached elements. The 508th has already stated they will fall in with us and form their own squad. Might get another unit to do so also.
Overall command and organization of the platoon will depend on who shows up and what numbers we get.
Primary impression is a platoon of the 504th PIR in Italy during the Rome campaign period.
Most preferred uniform and descending order - Plain 42 jump uniform - HBTs - Wool Shirt/Pants. If the only WW II uniform you own is 42R's they will be very reluctantly accepted - but come on, 42Rs is your only uniform?
Web gear Primary - pistol belts with snap rigger pouches, suspenders and musette bags, T Handle shovel, canteen & cup. Secondary - cartridge belts, suspenders, musette bags folding E Tool, canteen and cup. Ammo Bags as needed.
Standard helmets and weapons.

Need people to start sounding off for the event.
We need to know numbers so we can post them up the chain of command.
We need to know names of those who will be on site Friday for the night portion and who will be there only on Saturday. We need to know so we can start organizing our unit.
So far, from reading above, we have Me, Wayne and Joe.

I am ready! On site Friday 1300!
Sound off ASAP so we can plan squads. We are at 4 now!
Hopefully, ammo will be on site. Ordered some extra; Steven and Robert and Ron and Sean already have ammo coming.
Friday, September 10th - Night operations
Saturday, September 11th - Ready for battle by 0800! Usually done by 1700!
Sunday, September 12th - Help break camp if you stayed overnight. That is all, Captain Cachia

So now we have the CO, Chief, 1st Sgt, Wayne, Joe, SJ, Bruce, Adam, Scott, Ricky J and Louis.
Of those - woods runners - 1st Sgt, Joe (medic), SJ, Bruce, Adam, Scott and Ricky J.
