I'm planning to attend but no overnight stay for me
This one is being hosted by the 508th with open invite of course.
Details:
Come out and see a World War II timeline camp at the King's Mountain Historical Museum! Various living history displays and reenactors will be present on the museum grounds to interact with the museum guests telling of the U.S. military involvement in the European Theater of Operations.
The main focus will be on Airborne Operations (Parachute Infantry Regiment) during World War II. Presented by the 508th Headquarters-HQ Company. This is a living history event, with a focus on how a headquarters company operates (medical, demolition and communications). Additionally, a WWII British unit and a German Paratrooper unit will also be on site for the event.
*This event will adhere to social distancing protocols and guidelines in place at the time of the event.
FREE ADMISSION

Here's the rundown for now. More details will be released.
Water is available on site.
Camping only on Friday night as event ends Saturday at 4pm and Museum closes. Museum is in downtown area so adjacent to restaurants etc. Much like Toccoa.
No fires Friday night, only Saturday in designated firepit.

Met with January last Friday. No camping Saturday night because of liability issues. Unless 505th has liability insurance as a unit I can talk her into let you guys stay the night Saturday. Same with the Fire's. Maybe in the future. She is just nervous since there has been issues in the past with rev war units. I did mention that not being able to Camp Saturday will prevent alot of other units from not being able to attend. I live 15 mins away.If anyone needs a place to stay.
