We have been invited to 1940 Day at the Greensboro History Museum, 130 Summit Ave. in Greensboro! July 8th, 2023!
This is a one day event culminating with a live band for a swing dance, 1800-2100!
We will set up flies only with our displays from 0900 - 1600. Vehicles are welcome of course!
The new Director of the Museum hopes that the following year to have a 1940's Weekend. Kind of depends on our showing this year.
So, what say yeh?

More info on this event as of 6/8/2023:
CONTACTS AT THE GREENSBORO HISTORY MUSEUM - Glenn Perkins, Curator. Sarah Mask 336-373-2043 130 Summit Ave. Greensboro
1. A Green Room will be available for breaks.
2. Restrooms are in the Museum.
3. Displays are from 1000 till 1600.
4. Breakdown and pack up from 1600-1700.
5. Dance starts indoors 1800-2100 with live band.
6. Only flies since we are not overnight.
7. All vehicles welcome.
8. 508th HQ-HQ troopers are welcome to join us!
9. Jim Hazen has offered his home for Long Hauler Troopers. Nothing fancy.
10. Working on simple lunch guys. No Mess on site.
Threat of rain, we move into the Lobby.

The WACs will be there; we registered separately as the event reached out to us via a state historic site contact we have.

Trying to get Saturday Off to attend. A few of my other troopers are interested as well. For the Dance to we have to purchase tickets or are we free.

Latest update from Commander;
Just a reboot of the upcoming Greensboro History Museum info: 8 July.
130 Summit Ave
1. Event opens to public at 1100. Closes at 1600!
2. Swing Band plays from 1800 till 2100
3. No tents. Flies for shade on displays.
4. Lobby available for cool down or bad weather.
5. Green Room for refreshments.
6. Air conditioned restrooms.
7. Let's plan on getting there by 1000.
