Attention All Troopers Attending RTR!
There has been a major change in our operations for this event.
Chief Meyer and I will NOT be attending. Correspondent Swiers will also not attend.
SSgt. Jelen will NOT set up the Mess! He will join with SSgt. Bruce's forces. This is now a full immersion event! You must provide your own food and water.
If you still desire to Mess you can with Kevin Frank's Dad. I will need to know if you want to do this.
Temps are going to be in the 90s and thunderstorms are possible late afternoon. Hydrate, hydrate, hydrate!
I regret not attending but once again I don't feel fully recovered from my lung infection.
Blessing men!

USAGF mess is available all weekend for all 505 [and 508) personnel. This includes Friday dinner and Sunday breakfast for those who want to stay and socialize Saturday night. As before, bring 3 gallons of water. One gallon will be turned into the event to provide water resupply in the field on Saturday. Bring food for Saturday lunch, but mess will send you out with a good breakfast and have supper for everyone after a day in the field. $20 payable on site to SSgt A. Frank. Hydration juice pouches in period wrappers will be issued to all as well.

I have opted to not attend as I will focus my energy toward the 9/11 commemorative event on Sunday here in Cary.

I will not attend this event! I will be going to Florida the week of September 18-24. Then I will be going to Fredrick, OK with ADT the first week in October. I ma try to attend the AL event near Albemarle at the end of September. Since I am doing back to back events I'm try to spend a little more time with family on the weekends.

Guys - Some quick questions.
What time are folks planning to arrive at the Enfield site? Am adjusting my schedule - but am looking to get there mid to late afternoon Friday.
Will we still have a C/505th area set up to report to after event registration?
Any idea what, if any, activities are planned for Friday afternoon and evening - has it been modified due to weather forecast?
Do we need any water cans? If needed, I can bring a GI 5 gal water can to aid in our water resupply during Saturday operations (in addition to my three 1 gal jugs).
I'll plan on eating at the USAGF mess and will pay accordingly on Friday.
Thanks, Jeff

Thanks, Jeff Jeff, You can setup at our Allied camp area if you need to and we will have our large fly setup for gathering under. We plan to be there around noon on Friday to get mess and camp setup - plus we're bringing the MPs for the event registration work. There will be a safety briefing Friday afternoon and we are still planning to hold some night action (small patrols in the battle area) friday night. Your jerry can would be appreciated for use in the field for tactical resupply.

Well, we are down to 5, 6 tops. You guys be careful. Excessive heat Thursday, increased humidity and high 80s Friday with thunderstorms possible Thursday and Friday late. Thanks to the Franks for cooking for us. Think only 2 signed on Kevin. Not sure about 508th but last I heard only had 3 in attendance.

As of now, late afternoon/early evening Friday. Get off work at noon and need to do some last minute errands and pack up before heading out.

Was supposed to be on the road by now, but some new work issues just popped up that I'm dealing with that are delaying my departure.
Does anyone know how late the on-site event registration is open today, and worst case, if it's open early tomorrow AM?
Thanks, Jeff
