1st Sgt is meeting with Allied Command and 508th to finalize 505th unit assignment within overall Allied force package.
As it goes with the 82nd Airborne; Anywhere in the world in 18hrs!

ATTENTION 505 TROOPERS: We are a week away from the Road to Rome, get your gear and uniforms in order. Most of you have been through it before and know what is expected. BRING ENOUGH WATER FOR THE TIME YOU INTEND TO BE THERE ( I SUGGEST AT LEAST 3 GALLONS) AND BEGIN HYDRATING A COUPLE OF DAYS BEFORE THE EVENT. Two canteens are not enough. NCO's continuously check that your troops have water. Sign in at the C Company HQ after you have finished at the event registration and before you set up. We need to account for personnel on site. Bring your pay book so I can issue you invasion currency. I will be collecting the $15 mess fee if you are eating from the mess and issuing you a meal ticket. I will be arriving on site Thursday, Sept. 7. See you upon your arrival.

Must back out of this one. I now have a check-up and chemo treatment the Thursday prior to the event and based on previous reaction to the treatment I will not be up to driving the five + hours to get there on Friday.
