Good Evening from the African front!
As a foodie, one of the more interesting aspects of Re-enactment is the feeding our troops! For as Napoleon said it best "An Army marches on it's stomach!"
With that being said, I believe I have located all the items to successfully reproduce K-Rations upon my return home. Would there be enough interest from you all to make some for the events if I can actually pull it off?
I honestly have no idea what the cost would be so I won't quote any until I can put one together.
Or if anyone knows who still produces rations they can list the website in the comments.

Interested Aaron! Believe Kevin Frank would be a good source for producing K-Rations. He has done some. Our former 1st Sgt. Peterson even produced D Bars. Recipe is in our Forum somewhere.

There’s a website you can buy complete K rations as well. I’d check their prices if you’re going to compete.

I am tracking they can be bought for $17/ea or $45/set from Hogan Foods (https://www.angelfire.com/nc/stug/)but I'm curious if anyone else knows of others? I've seen multiple MRE channels trying the K-Rations, one of which was the Hogan foods.

I’ve been making them off and on for a few years now. I order the boxes in bulk from a guy in the Netherlands and print out any necessary items like match covers, cigarette boxes, juice packets, etc. it is time consuming but if doing a large number (last big run I did was a full K-Rat box) you get into a bit of an assembly line though and it is less work per meal than just doing 3-4.

I’ve also done the D-Ration bars recently. Again doing a dozen of them isn’t all that bad. Basically a days work with just 2 molds.

I will be home prior to RTR, and look into what components I can locally source vs having to order. Also I am assuming prices will have gone up as well so we will see what our options are. Although it is good to start looking into these now rather than right before hand.
