In some ways I'm kinda like Schleprock - seems like everywhere I go for an event there's going to be at least one afternoon/evening when it's dark and stormy.

Per the Commander.
Attention Troopers! I am going to attempt to go over the complicated logistics of our trip to the Southern Pines/ Moore County Veterans Memorial Park on 4-6 November, 2022. Let's start with the times of both events. Southern Pines Parade- 1000 Memorial in Veteran's Park-1200 All vehicles must be at St. Anthony's Church parking lot by 0800-0830 at latest for positioning in the parade. Southern Pines also required several displays after the parade at their downtown Park. St. Anthony's 175 E. Connecticut Ave. Southern Pines, NC Once the parade is done all vehicles, minus Gerty and Beast Master, will remount their trailers in St. Anthony's parking lot and head for Moore County Veterans Memorial Park, for their memorial service at 1200. 1020 Carriage Oaks Drive Carthage, NC. We have written permission to camp at the Moore County Veterans Memorial Park both Friday and Saturday night. We plan to set up displays here. Those coming in to the park Friday night will need to sleep in whatever. We will set up flies and tents and displays here.
Southern Pines Park is different. We only have permission to camp Friday night. We also must be out of the park by 1700 Saturday. To achieve this we need: 1) Volunteers to stay with Gerty and Beast Master Friday night or early Saturday morning. SSGT Gatlin will need to set up his tent or fly with his 307th equipment to satisfy the Southern Pines planners. Don't need more than 3 or 4 volunteers to stay here. 2) Displays at Memorial Park in Carthage to be set up on Friday. (4th) 3) Those that must leave Southern Pines can come up 501 the 12.8 miles to rejoin the rest of us at the Moore County Veterans Memorial Park to sleep over Saturday night. Am planning dinner of Hotdogs and Beans Saturday night. Ofcourse, those that wish to leave for home after 1600 at Parade, and, or Memorial that is fine. We are being compensated for our participation but more importantly we will be showing the flag and our professionalism.
I hope this answers your questions. Splitting the unit has stressed the C & S. Major Cachia

Per the Commander, latest update.
All Troopers attending Southern Pines Parade and Moore County Veterans Memorial Park! As promised the two events on the same day, an hour or two apart, will be a challenge. We are required to have 3 displays at the Southern Pines Park. At this time we have Gerty, who may or not participate in the parade and then be a static display, Jim Hazen's 505th Radio Jeep, which also may or may not participate in the parade and then be a static display, and finally Bruce will be bringing his parachute display. We can put up a fly here and Jim Hazen's camo net. I have been informed that we must be out of the park by 1700 Saturday! I am hopefully that these people can join our main group at the Moore County Veterans Memorial Park in Carthage. (12.8 miles from Southern Pines) All Troopers should dress out in full D-Day Battle Rattle! All NCOs should inspect all weapons! No ammo of any kind is permitted. 42Rs or Pathfinder, Helmet, Jump boots shined, Web gear, water in canteen. Chief and I will be at Moore County camp site by 1200 Friday. We will start to set up our camp and displays for the event there at 1200 Saturday. I plan to recon Southern Pines on Friday afternoon. Here is the time table. 4 November, 1200-2300 - Troopers arrive at Moore County Veterans Memorial Park, 1020 Carriage Oaks Dr., Carthage. Set up tents and displays. Flies must be set up! Rain possible. Wake up call Saturday 0600. Fast food places close by! We will make coffee, hot chocolate and oatmeal available. 0730 - Dress out and head for Southern Pines, St Anthony's Catholic Church, 175 E. Connecticut Ave. , off load trailers by 0800-0830. Organizers will position us for Parade. 1000 - Parade starts. One hour max. Those manning displays report to your area, unless you are in Parade. 1100 - Troopers report to vehicles for transport to Moore County Veterans Memorial Park. (12.8 miles away) Formation for Ceremony at 1200! 1300 - Lunch provided by Carthage organizers. 1330-1600 - Man displays. Organizers in both places have said as soon as crowds dissipates we can pack up and head for home or stay and hang out! Jim Hazen and I will be providing Hotdogs on buns and baked beans for supper Saturday night, 1800 !! Joe Coyle will update us on the weather as we get closer to the event. I hope this answers some questions. I have been told that we will need to contact the Church to see if we can park trailers FRIDAY night. So far we only have permission for Saturday morning. I will let you know.

Looking forward to these events, We are going to SIMPLIFLY this very easy. Stand by as more information is to follow next few days. This is almost just like the real Army, planning multiply events and scheduling at the same time. This is where Operations, Command and Control comes in play. Something i hated and loved at the same time.

Latest update from Commander:
Attention All Troopers! The Southern Pines Parade and Moore County Veterans Memorial Park Ceremony in Carthage is this Saturday. The parade starts at 1000 and the ceremony at 1200. So, here is the plan. Our main camp will be at the Moore County site in Carthage. 1020 Carriage Oaks Drive, Carthage. We will set up tents and flies here. There is water and portajohns here. Coffee and snack food is all we are doing this weekend as there are food places close by. The weather is to be mild, 70's, 50's. Bradd will have Gerty down in Southern Pines so he can set up in the park spaces allotted to us. Gerty, may or may not participate in the parade. Jim Hazen and his radio jeep will also be a static display along with Bruce's display with Robert's help. Vehicles that are at Moore County Veteran Memorial Park will head for Southern Pines around 0730 to off load their vehicles in St. Anthony's Parking lot. (175 East Connecticut Ave. and Broad St.) Those with vehicles will need to carry troopers to Southern Pines and park in the same church lot. Remember at the end of the parade all of us need to get back to Carthage for the 12:00 Ceremony, with the exception of those manning the displays in SP. Organizers will position us in the parade. After the Ceremony in Carthage lunch is being provided for everyone. We will man our displays after lunch until the crowd dissipates. At this point we will breakdown non-essential things and either go home or go to dinner somewhere in either Carthage or Southern Pines. Those in Southern Pines can join us or head for home. You must vacate the Park by 5:00 PM. Someone once said, Plans go out the window when the first shot is fired. We will see. Major Cachia
