Troops - for the upcoming season you should have at least 3 K Ration meal boxes.
Boxes can be found at many vendors. Sets can come with or without inner boxes.
A K Ration meal is the easiest period meal to knock together. The meat can takes up almost 50% of the box. The rest of the box can be filled with items of your choice. Start with club crackers and graham crackers wrapped in cling wrap. Use the 90th ID site to get wraps for toilet paper, Carmels, D Bars (alternate wrapping), sugar, etc.
The boxes are reusable if you take care of them.
I would like to see all the line dogs have at least 2 K Ration meals and one alternate can with period label for the January Enfield event. See the winter in the field thread on our forum for additional ideas. Attachments:

Lets see if us line dogs in the 505th can show the other units how it's done.

Some vendors of K Ration meal boxes.
WW II Soldier
This Itsy add appears to be a good deal. This is the early war set. They also have the mid and late war boxes. So for under $30 plus shipping you can get 9 inner and outer boxes that covered the whole war.
Plenty more on Ebay & Itsy. Just search K Ration Box.

Assembly note on boxes.
They come flat and you have to fold them into shape.
You only need to glue the long seam on the box. The ends will fold in.
While a glue stick works for everything else in a K Ration meal it's best to use white Elmer's Glue on the box. It holds a lot better.
