All Troopers of Charlie Company 505th PIR,
I am asking everyone for prayers to be lifted up for Louis and his family who have been stricken with Covid-19.
You may not know but Louis is one the founding members of C/505th PIR. We met during Civil War reenacting, like half or our unit members, and got into WW II with the 504th.
Once we got organized Louis started setting the standard for a Mess. Small at first, Louis' kitchen is now a company kitchen. His meals are widely acclaimed.
I feel many of you do not realize all the planning that goes into feeding 30 plus troopers 6 meals or more on a weekend. It is work folks! You have to enjoy doing it. The menu, shopping, storage and a million small details must be done well ahead of time.
Add to this driving the new trailer with all of your personal stuff and the Mess on Wheels and you can see it starts to resemble a military operation.
So, say a short prayer for Louis and his family. We need you back as soon as you are healthy again Louis!
