That's one of the issues I have. The 43's didn't have cleats either I don't think. No one seems to have any now and as far as I can determine they won't any time in 2021

Many options are out there for WW II uniforms and gear.
Sadly boots are not one of them.
While the French boots would look good on your feet while you're standing up - as soon as the bottoms of your feet are exposed the gig is up.
You could take them in to s shoe shop and have period soles put on but then that costs.
Might as well pony up some extra money ($219) and get these.
The there are the AtF boots for $299.99
And these Strum/Mil-Tec Replica WW2 American Buckle Combat Boots for $169.95 and free shipping.
It may be just me but boots are one of the things that I think the money and quality will equal greater comfort and durability in the field. You feet are worth the extra money.

Now get them greased and shined so you can get them dirty and wet with that lived in look.

Walked them in some this morning. 10 miles. No hotspots so far.

These may be the best boots I own. I've been wearing them to make sure they're ready for Enfield and no problems. Today I used them on my ruck. The Bataan Death March is a virtual event this year. You do the 26.2 miles and mail it in...honor system ( at least it's not cancelled again) so I'm getting ready to do it. Today I did 4 miles with a full load 40 pounds 1 hour 13 minutes and these boots performed better than the modern hikers I've been training with and I was going to use. Go figure
