I know it’s not winter but it’s always good to take stock in trade and prepare. Seeing as how the colder temps are a more active period for our unit members I’ve been hunting the shelves for food items and ration heating solutions. In my search I found this bottle of fire starter gel that is identical to the gel in the sterno cans and it’s much easier to re fill the fuel cans than scooping the gel out of cans, one bottle should fill about 5 cans

When I was stationed in Japan I came across a really interesting meal replacement item that the Japanese would consume. It was called calorie mate. And it’s basically just a D ration chocolate bar only a little softer with similar ingredients. Each box comes in a two pack of bars and each pack has two bars in it so four bars to a box in two servings and a serving fits perfectly In a 4oz square d ration box

It’s a good option for those who don’t wanna make their own D rations.

Bumping this to the top since last event was canceled due to road conditions. Had it not been canceled I feel like had the roads not been bad a good majority of us could’ve thrived in that comfortably
