Troopers!
Agree as light as possible mess weekend will suffice. I am happy to carry the items suggested by Capt. Frank. Water provisions will be of paramount importance - suggest gallon jugs to slow the spread of empty water bottles. Prayers for a great outcome for Louis!
Stay safe!

Decision to be made by August 15th. Would only need for you to haul 2 flies, ropes and stakes. Water: 17 gallons.

Troopers:
We are one month out from Road to Rome. The organizers are needing a list of attendees so they can compare our list to the event brite registrations, and command can start organizing squads and making assignments. If you haven't spoken up and you are planning to go, then do so here or on the forum.
The unit is not going as C/505 as 505 was in Northern Ireland resting up after Husky, and preparing for the Normandy Invasion. As such, you have the choice to do 504 with Rick Smith or Brian Shelton (unreinforced M42s etc), or do 6th AIR (1AD) under Andrew Craver and folks from 101HQ (wools, HBTS, etc). Just for information purposes, I will be running Gerty (WC52) as a 1st Armored vehicle, and may need volunteers for any guntruck, mortar, ambulance or other duties as assigned by the HQ. (If you have experience driving a double clutch, message me!).
Also, please consider registering on the event brite page for the event. You will save 5 bucks, and assist Bradd Craver and other leaders in their planning.
Lastly, if you need gear, best to start beating the bush for it now. First come first serve as always. Let someone in the C&S know ASAP.
Otherwise, start ordering ammo and making plans for this awesome event. We are looking at 200 reenactors or more, so it's likely to be pretty epic. Hope you all are staying safe, and staving off 2020 as best you can. I look forward to seeing you all soon!
-Jay

Seems to be running good, guess we will find out.

Going to be wet this weekend. Bring your poncho or rain coat. If not - at least extra T shirts and socks.

Everyone have a great and safe weekend. Hopefully I catch up soon. I feel like crap now but the Docs say I'll be back to normal in no time...
