I know some have a problem with metal folding chairs because they are "not period".
American Seating was producing 10,000 metal folding chairs a day during WW II.
Simmons was producing Art Deco Chairs in the 1930s.
My civilian Clarin Chair (metal with a wood seat) was patented in 1928.

Metal Folding chairs are in the Army Federal Stock Catalogs of the day (this one dated 1934) along with specifications.
Notice Class 5 - metal seat and metal back.

And for you guys with the wood folding chairs - they are period also. Both the plywood back and seat ones and the ones with slats.
Many companies were producing both styles.

I expanded the chair issue with a longer thread.
