The Cravers broke another extractor on the same Garand at this last Waxhaw.
Somebody mentioned that the rounds had to be loaded in the clip the proper way otherwise it could damage the weapon. I had never heard that before.
Military procurement is a little anal at times and the clips would have been loaded a certain way.
The feeding of the round off the clip is independent of the chambering, firing and extraction operation.
During firing the rounds are being fed off the clip from both the left and the right. The rifle is pretty stupid and wouldn't know if the round on the right is the first or second round.
Has the Military specifications for loading the clips been transformed into a reenactorism of "If you don't do it that way it will harm the weapon" instead of that's the way they were loaded at the factory?

Need a bigger hole for the BFA. You did the same thing with commercial hunting ammo. Didn’t break it but it kicked it out. It’s over gassed. Try a less hot blank or get a bigger apature

^^^^ Had the same thing happen when test firing blanks and adjusting one of the cheaper BFAs ended up losing the extractor and spring in the grass and had to replace them.

Checked the insert on my Garand - which works fine - and it's the .183 one.
