Great menu Louis! As Sgt. Jenkins said, deadline for Mess Fee of $25 for all SIX meals is Monday night, 2300, February 11th, 2019.
There will be a message from SHAEF HQ tomorrow regarding our garrison base.

Guys, we will be putting our best boot forward at this event. We are not doing a Battle of the Bulge, two weeks in the line impression. We will be doing a clean garrison/camp impression. Clean your uniforms, polish your boots and have a military style haircut when you show up.

I concur with the 1st/Sgt. Waxhaws is going to be be our garrison, and a clean uniform is considered mandatory. It doesn't take long to put a coat of polish on a pair of boots, I have done my share of polishing boots. I am not talking about spit shining field boots, so don't even go there. Boots are expensive, and a few minutes effort will make them last for years. My field boots are 10 years old. They have darkened from rain, mud, even snow, but are not cracked or rotting because I clean and give them a layer of polish after every event, even if they haven't gotten wet. It doesn't take much effort to throw your uniform into the washer when it is dirty. I have for years listened to the mantra, "we do this to honor our veterans". Really? In the rear areas everyone wore a clean, presentable uniform. How do you "honor" someone by representing them as a slob? Being a soldier is a whole more than dressing up and carrying a Garand. Re-enactors should know the mundane stuff that goes with a soldier's life. How much much is the jump pay for enlisted man? Everyone knows it was $55. But, can you tell me your monthly BASE pay? That is something a visitor may ask you. Learn more about the common, everyday life of the soldiers everyone claims to honor. Combat is actually a small part of a soldier's life.
Chief Meyer.

The mess will show up on Thursday prior to the event, but will serve the first meal on Friday evening. At least three of the staff will show up that Thursday to unload.
