5th Annual W.A.R Tactical January 25-28th 2024 Enfield NC More to follow as details emerge. Most personnel arrive afternoon to evening on the 26th and depart evening of the 27th. Friday night patrols TBD with main tactical Saturday morning through late afternoon. Overnight troopers can sleep in field environment or in admin posture at main allied HQ. Non period sleep gear is allowed but must be stowed and out of sight following wake up call on Saturday the 27th. Mess options will be available with fee payable to unit Troopers may opt to remain self sufficient and waive mess options. $15-$20 is usual mess fee. Depending on our sign up and registered for this event, will determine our support and capabilities. If your not sure 100% if your going to make it, rather have you as a NOGO and we can add you to the fire team roster later.
Well start off as planning to be a Rifle Squad, as numbers grow, will expand to a fire support with crew sreverd and so on. This will keep planning easy and more managable this way.

Primary uniform is M43 with double buckle boots OR jump boots.
Secondary is M42R with jump boots.
. You can then layer with 5 button sweater, thermal underwear, jeep caps etc.
Be sure to keep eye on expected overnight temps for Friday / Saturday if staying over. Bring extra sleeping gear/ blankets, tarps etc so you don't need bailed out in the middle of the night. You can use civilian sleep gear just keep it stowed out of sight by morning.
As always report in to event registration first then report into 505th HQ.

From the Mess:
I want to start off by saying that there is NO fee for chow! I say again, there is NO fee for chow! Chow will be provided for the paratroopers of 2nd platoon at NO charge. Everyone assigned to the paratroopers will eat for FREE!
I am going to be on site January 25th to set up the mess.
I will be set up in the parking lot where everyone else is going to be set up. Since the majority of the troopers show up on Friday I plan on cooking a meal that evening. Chow time will be between 5:30-6:30pm depending on whenever everyone starts to arrive. But if there are late arrivals I will still have chow for anyone showing up late.
Saturday we will cook breakfast before the first formation so everyone will need to be up early to eat chow. Chow will be served about 45 minutes before the first formation. I say again, chow will be served before first formation so everyone will need to be up early to eat. NCO's, I am relying on you to get all the troopers up for chow.
Saturday lunch will be k-rations (lunch in a box, not the actual K-ration box) that will be provided. It will be delivered to you while you are out doing your tactical.
Since most troopers leave Saturday evening there will be no chow that evening.

One week out from the event troopers.
The weather forecast is looking slightly wet.
Take precautions now to waterproof your gear, bring extra socks/skivies.
If you need anything, now would be the time to sound off and your NCOs can get you squared away.
