Light Data for the weekend
New Moon - no moonlight during the weekend.
Friday
Sunset 1712 hrs, end civil twilight 1740 hrs.
Saturday
Begin civil twilight 0648 hrs, sunrise 0716 hrs.
Sunset 1713 hrs, end civil twilight 1740 hrs.
Sunday
Begin civil twilight 0649 hrs, sunrise 0717 hrs.
Note: Friday night tactical usually kicks off at 2000 hrs (8:00 PM). It's going to be dark, dark by 1800 hrs. Try and get there as early in the afternoon as you can so you have light to set up by. Cars need to be in the parking area as soon as you can. The camp area is too cramped to have vehicles sitting around. We need to get organized and each element going over it's portion of the overall plan. Plenty of ground - we don't need our elements bumping into each other. At 2000 we need to be moving into the maneuver area.

Going to be wet. Long range forecast is still saying 50% chance of rain starting at 1900 hrs Friday. Continuing until noon Saturday when it drops off to 24% and then back up to 50% by 1800 hrs.
Bring extra cloths.

I'll check this forum about 0700 next Friday before I pack up and hit the road.
Right now from C/505th we have Me, Jay, Allen, Gene, Jacob, Dan E and Moldy (Sat. only). Steve said he and Pard were coming - but that was a long time again and have heard nothing from them since.
If you're not coming let us know by Thursday night - so we're not waiting on you come dark Friday.

You can believe it - dark. Frank and I crossed the dry creek bed and climbed the hill in the dark. We scared the shit out of some German in a listening post at the top of the hill...….

Received word today that I am going to have to work next weekend, so no Lugoff for me. I had an inkling but was hoping I could work it out - alas the life of emergency services. Hope you guys have fun and give them the old what for on my behalf.

Hate I can not make this guys! Please be careful in the night operations. If any of you get there early strongly suggest you do some recon. Finally, listen to 1st Sergeant! Sergeants run the army and your 1st Sergeant knows more than most! Most of the rest of you have been in only a few tacticals, and even fewer in night operations. Have some fun but be careful!

Saturday we are going to get wet.

Everybody make sure you bring extra cloths.
Looks like we will stay dry Friday night but have rain and temps in the low 40s all day Saturday. You'll need to change into something dry after the tactical ends.
Also keep an eye on your buddy during the day for hypothermia.

Hello everyone,
Unfortunately myself and gene will be unable to make lugoff. Some circumstances have arisen that will not allow us to go. We will see you all in Feb!

Weather has improved for Lugoff.
Only 50% +/- chance of rain during Saturday's tactical time. Forecast .55 inch of rain.
Up over 80% by around 2100 hrs - but by then we should be changed into dry cloths and snug under the fly - for those of us spending the night.
No snow in sight but we'll be packing up in the rain.
