These look great Joe! We will want you to use these in our staged battles so the public sees what a medic actually did. Got any ideas on morphine syringes? Got the syrettes yesterday from WPG. They are solid, not tubes at all no big deal but the labels are perfect. They don't have a needle just the safety but for actual public view handling I can put a 23 g needle on it just glue the protector so they can't get stuck. The one in a aid mans kit don't need a needle. At $7.00 ea. I don't think trying to make them is feasible. I'm thinking to just bite the bullet and buy a bunch and be over with it. I am in the process of making tourniquets. I got some alligator clamps and OD 3/4 webbing inbound. What would be cool for a Company thing is to make stocked First Aid kits that actually have a bandage, tourniquet, and morphine syrette. Probably could do the whole thing for about $25.00 with using the dummy kit's available and taking the block out. I have to see if they would be resealable . Attachments:

Yeah that will be the next project. I ordered three from WPG at $7.00 ea. tube with the box, the cost is not the issue but this is something that seems to be out of stock a lot at most vendors. I've got three empty boxes coming from France and should be enough for an aid man 3/3 as each trooper was supposed to have his own. Aid station for spectator event your going to need more for sure. Finding small tubes should be fairly easy but getting the label right for close inspection by a spectator at a display will be a challenge. Letting people see it and hold it is probably going to have to go the the WPG or other commercial vendor ones. I'm going to see how they did it when I get those three. That oddly enough is a good talking point at a static display explaining how it was used even medical professionals would need some clarification when they see the dose 1/2 grain... That is so far out of their wheel house they are sure to have questions. history.amedd.army.mil/booksdocs/wwii/surgeryinwwii/chapter2.htm I have a source for the tubes. Testors make 0.5 gr. single use super glue. I got 4 at Michaels, that was all they had. They are the exact size. I can drain the contents and re inject the tube with RTV and when that sets up they will be harmless. If someone makes labels then even with the box it will be half the cost of the current available repros. Attachments:

I got labels and boxes from California that will complete the Testors syrettes and I'll do comparison worked out compared to his price of $4.95 per syrette plus box. We'll see. I'll have that worked out by January tactical. Still should be doable if anyone wants a stocked FAK. I'll get up with LT. Torrence as far as what Aid Station wants.

Jcoyle I got you covered on the fake blood. German's shot me in the ankle!! Joe, the stuff works great! Accidently got some on my 42s at another event (when I was the doc) and it washed out without staining them.

Definitely want to compare how you made your Carlisle bandages with the ones we have made up. Seem to be very similar. I have the PDFs for almost everything we use or need. Let me know if you want any. We print the Carlisle boxes on brown cardstock, slap a little mink oil or Sno-seal on them to waterproof them. For morphine, I used one shot tubes of super glue. Same size as the Testors ones you used. As these are for field demo use, I attached a small nail (with the point filed down) to the top of the tube. The cover is made using plastic tubing. Not as good as the repros you purchased but just fine for demos. I carry them in the 5 ct. boxes (also printed at home from PDFs). While I don't plan to run as a medical officer at Enfield, my medic and nurse will be there also and we will be bringing a lot of our supplies to share with Lt. Torrence for us in the aid station or in the field as needed.

Just got my order in from France. www.etsy.com/shop/SommePoppiesRepros. Extremely high quality reproduction medical items. Heavy gauge cardboard, clearly printed. It was a big order ant it took a while to get but from the quality it was well worth the wait. After the tactical this week end I'll have all of it ready for the next event. Some of it is probably destined to be just display at spectator events, they are that good. She also does repro's for infantry and personal items.
