I have been ordered to form a mini-mess. Will be missing one to two cooks, none-the-less, we will carry on.
Friday PM- chili and French bread.
Saturday AM- oatmeal, eggs, and spam.
You will be expected to make your own field rations for Saturday..
Do not expect the kitchen to furnish you with water. It will be at a premium, therefore, bring at least one-two gals for your own use. Do not expect the mess to furnish you with napkins. Troopers were expected to bring a rag when they jumped. (Check the required list for paratroopers.). May ask for a volunteer to assist with cooking duties. Stay tuned for further developments.

Have been informed that we will need another meal prepared for Saturday PM. I would suggest, since there will only be a few present, that we bring something like a couple of summer sausages, a couple of blocks of cheese, crackers, apples, cookies, or cakes. May add hot soup to the menu. Keeping the meal simple may be best. Hot water for cocoa, and hot coffee.

I can make a few loafs of soft bread if that will help Sgt.? Once we get a final head count let me know how many we need. I'm actually a pretty good baker. I was the shift baker for my Company,2 piece house with a Batt. Chief, so I can bake for numbers.

Saturday PM- chili, bread,cheese blocks, summer sausage, apples, possibly a few Cakes
Coyle may make homemade bread instead of French bread

After conferring with my superiors we have determined that each individual with tell us if they are buying a meal, or all three meals. We are going to ask for $5.00 for each meal.
A jeep may or may not be available for delivery Friday night to the front line troops. You may have to pick up your meal in a canteen cup on your way to the front lines.
No delivery for breakfast Sat am. The Jeep’s will be used for other purpose.
Saturday pm supper will be for those who decide to remain in camp until Sunday morning.
Sorry, men should be prepared to be self sufficient if necessary.

Update for meals at Enfield-
Friday pm-beanie weanies and crackers- $2.00
Sat am-eggs, spam, oatmeal, toast- $5.00
Sat pm-chili, crackers, cheese, summer sausage, bread-$5.00
Bring your own water supply. Napkins will not
Be available. Coffee will be available. Cream and Sugar supplied.
Bring your mess gear. However, will supply paper Bowles and plates as long as they last.
Payment to Captain Cashia $12.00 total.
Pre-pay to him.
