Spencer Transportation Museum - June 29th
Is there any interest from the unit in going to the Spencer Transportation Museum on June 29th.
It is a one day event - Saturday - and ends with fireworks.
If so we'll get the unit registered and get space - depending on the numbers that show interest.
If we go I can bring one or two flies depending on numbers.
If we go I plan on getting there late Friday afternoon and setting up - if they let us - and pack up early Sunday morning.
The Kitchen will no be there.

Why not be allowed to set up inside the large depot repair building weere the vehicles are on display? There was a couple groups displaying equipment /uniforms in that area and plenty of space.

At least we get a bit of a breeze where we set up. Plus it's close to the nice bathroom, parking lot, easy access for visitors and the Root Beer Guy.  |

The event is calling for footprint and members going.
Ordering 25' x 40' and registering Myself, Wayne, Ben and Em.

Hello Everyone,
It is hard to believe it is already the end of June and Salute the Troops: Military Through the Ages is already here! I just wanted to go over check in so everyone has the information they need. Check in will begin at 9am Friday, June 28th at Barber Junction Depot. You can pick up your check in packet there. In the packet will have guideline and regulation form and the release and indemnification form (both need to be signed and turned back in), your participant “badge” (this can just be put in your pocket/wallet), a lunch ticket (lunch is from 11am-2pm in our MMO building in the conference room), schedule of events and your site number.
Site numbers will be spray painted on the ground if you are in the field and will be on signs in the Back shop if that is where you have been assigned. This will make it easy to find your spots. Registration will end at 8pm that night. From 8-10pm if there is an emergency you can call my cell at xxx xxx-xxx. If you plan on arriving after 8pm, please let me know. From 10pm-7am an Officer with the Spencer Police Department will be onsite for security.
Check in will resume Saturday morning at 7:30am. The site opens for visitors at 9am-all personal vehicles must be moved to the parking lot by then. This event runs from 9am-5pm. At 7pm we will have activities (food vendors, DJ, Trackless train, stilt walker, etc.) start leading up to the firework show at 9:15pm. A NCTM staff member will be onsite overnight. That phone number will be on the sheet provided in the packet. Camps need to be broken down by noon on Sunday.
